Frequently Asked Questions

 1. Why is roofing an important decision for me?

A roof is your home’s main defense against the outside elements.  During the country’s rainy season, a good roof would prevent leaks and eventual damage to your home.  In the summer months, it would be vital in protecting against the sun while ensuring a cool indoor temperature.  Very often, the choice of roofing is coursed through your architect or contractor, but we believe something of this importance should have every homeowner’s say.  That is why you should always be vigilant in choosing your own roofing – one of the most important aspects of your home.

2. How do I know if I need a new roof?

  • The following are indications of a roof that needs replacing:

    • Heavy rusting and corrosion of the roof

    • Leakage in the attic due to heavy rains

    • Stains on ceiling or interior walls

    • Blistering or peeling of interior or exterior paint

3. Can you give me an estimate?

  • Our sales specialists will be glad to give you an estimate if provided with the ff:

    • The profile, gauge, and color of the roofing you plan to choose

    • Your home’s architectural plans – Elevations, Roof Plan, and Roof Framing Plan

4. Do you accept credit cards?

  • Yes.  We accept cash, checks, and now credit cards!  Contact a sales specialist now for more details.

5. How long will it take to deliver and install the roofing?

  • Delivery will take between 3-5 days once full payment is received.  Late deliveries will entitle you to a 1% discount for every day late beyond the 5 day guarantee.  Installation would take about 4-7 days depending on the size and design of your roof.

6. What are the advantages of metal roofing?

  • Metal is non-combustible and is exceptionally durable.  When properly installed, metal roofing will not absorb or be damaged by water, and is highly resistant to damage from wind or storms.  In addition, metal roofs require very little, if any, maintenance over the life of the roof.

  • Metal roofs are also about 3 times lighter than ceramic tiles and asphalt shingles, leaving less stress on your house’s structure.

  • Metal roofs are energy efficient and are not easily penetrated by termites or birds, unlike other traditional types of roofing.

7. How can metal roofing save energy?

  • Conventional roofing materials, asphalt shingles for example, tend to absorb and retain heat, therefore requiring more energy to maintain a cooler living space.  Metal roofing, on the other hand, reflects most of the Sun's rays.  At day's end, metal also cools more quickly resulting in cooler indoor space and a less expensive air-conditioning bill.  Combining a cool roof color with your insulation will create an energy efficient roof system for your home.

8. How long will metal roofing last?

  • Metal roofing will virtually last as long as your home, and over three times longer than traditional roofing.  Jacinto roofs are manufactured from Galvalume steel, a hybrid material that combines the strength of carbon steel with the corrosion resistance of aluminum and the thermal properties of zinc.  This powerful combination prevents our metal roofs from drying out, splitting, curling, peeling, or flaking.

9. Which metal roof system should I use?

  • Jacinto offers many profiles of roofing, depending on the look you are trying to achieve.  Jacinto can help you choose the system right for you and your design.  Click here [redirect to products page] to view the different roofing profiles that we have to offer.
